SITEC Bursting disc holders (Safety heads)
Features and advantages
- Very simple protection against unintentional overpressures in HP systems and pilot units.
- For category I, module A of the “PED 97/23/EC”.
- For category IV (max. 5000 bar) on request.
- Absolutely leak-proof – important for laboratory units.
- Direct installation of the safety heads in all tube connections in SITEC HP valves and fittings.
- Rupture discs are to be ordered separately.
Stainless-steel rupture discs
- Discs on stock: flat seat discs for low pressures and angular seat models for 350 bar and above.
- Including test certificate 3.1 according EN 10204.
- Ordering: Complete Part No. by adding burst pressure to the basic No. 728., e.g. burst pressure 700 bar: Part No. 728.0700.
- Important: The nominal burst pressure is based on a static pressure loading at ambient temperature with a tolerance of
+/– 10% up to 900 bar, above +/– 5%. - The maximum operating pressure should not exceed 80% of the nominal burst pressure.
- Factors reducing the actual rupture pressure are: cyclic pressures, high temperatures, corrosion, etc.
- Other pressures, materials (e.g. Hastelloy HC276) and safety heads for discs with flags, on request.
SITEC Safety valves
Features and advantages
- Adjustable relief valves against unintentional overpressures in HP systems and pilot plants.
- All safety relief valves with test certificate.
- For category I, module A of the “PED 97/23/EC”.
- For laboratory systems and pilot units.
- Suitable for gases and liquids. Valves for gas service feature fine-lapped seats and will be factory preset at the desired relief pressure.
- Soft seat in the valve with the lowest pressure range 50–700 bar.
- Factory-preset relief pressure marked on valve body. State desired cracking pressure and service requirements (liquid, gas or vapour).
- Precise adjustment of the cracking pressure.
- Closing pressure = cracking pressure minus 10%.
- Safety valves may be mounted in any position.
- Relief valve set pressure should be 10% higher than maximum system operating pressure.
- Materials: Stainless steels AISI 316Ti and 17-4 PH.
Options
- Factory-sealed relief valves with test certificate.
SITEC Relief valves
Features and advantages
- Adjustable pressure limiters in high-pressure systems.
- Specially recommended for high-pressure systems with intense variations of flow.
- Suitable for HP liquids like water, mineral oils, brake fluids. Mention the service fluid with the order.
- Long service life assured by fine ground stem.
- Easily exchangeable replaceable seat.
- Factory-preset pressure marked on valve body. State the required cracking pressure with the order please.
- Variable adjustment of the cracking pressure.
- Valve body in stainless steel AISI 316Ti.
- Free assembly positions.
- Relief valves available at short notice.
- Bursting disc holders for Cat I PED/2014/68/EU and Cat IV PED/2014/68/EU on request
- Bursting disc holders + discs in other materials like Hastelloy on request
- Factory preset and sealed relief valves with certificate
