Optical cells for in-line monitoring
SITEC High pressure equipment for inline monitoring of concentrations in supercritical and high pressure and temperature processes
Specifications | |
Pressure | max. 1.000 bar |
Temperature | max. 180 °C |
Features and advantages
- Combining a high pressure optical cell, a fiber-optic interface and a NIR-spectrophotometer allows the in-line monitoring of concentrations in high pressure and high temperature processes
- In production plants for supercritical extraction for instance such an in-line monitoring sytem allows to stop the extraction process at the optimal time and therefore to operate the plant more efficiently. the additional information earned from the in-line monitoring allows a faster process optimization.
- For chemical reactions in supercritical CO2, the data for kinetic modeling can be determined and existing reaction processes can be optimized.
- The sophisticated design of the high pressure optical cell allows the adaption of the optical path length to the components to be detected and the concentration range
- High pressure optical cells for NI in-line monitoring are available for max. operating conditions up to 1.000 bar and 180 °C. Customer requirements are considered.
- Fluid contacted parts are offered in stainless steel AISI 316Ti, 17-4 PH, AISI 660 or in special materials like Hastelloy, Inconel, etc depending on operating conditions
- Heating is realized with a electrical heating jacket or double wall for fluid heating.
- The fiber-optic interface is specially adapted to the SITEC window units
- The investigation of the feasibility and also the application engineering will be quoted and performed by our cooperation partner, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology
